As John Carmack mentioned, id software is going to release the source code of Quake 3 Arena by the end of this year or beginning of the next year. This would make it possible to create a stand alone PadGame! No one would need Q3A to play our mod and it would be easier to spread the game around the world. We’ll see, if we can go this way. So let’s wait and hope that our coders have enough time to port it to the free available code then. 😉
