Two new community maps for WoP

MushroomGarden [Recreate] by Liorlevi99

To our surprise, two new community maps for World of Padman were released in October, which we would like to introduce here.

Liorlevi99 got his hands on the map MushroomGarden, which was originally created by Nestel34 in 2008. It is a rather small and simple map with two larger rooms and a connecting corridor, which is supposed to represent a garden. Here and there a few map objects were placed and it already attracted a lot of attention in the community because of the many colorful mushrooms. In short: WoP on drugs! Since Nestel34 couldn’t find the original map file due to a hard drive crash, Liorlevi99 got the permission to recreate this map. He has meticulously kept to the original layout, but has recreated the mushroom model in higher quality and above all placed health stations, weapons and items in the map. Thus, the map is now suitable for a crazy match 1vs1 or a maximum of a handful of players.

The map Toxic Fabric by DevilsRightHand was originally released for Quake 3 Arena, so the player here is normal sized. It is quite expansive and therefore suitable for a larger number of players. It offers a lot of horizontal gameplay due to the many floors of the factory. The design is very elaborate and is not stingy with respectable shader effects and high-resolution textures. A novelty here is the support of the game mode CTL in an asymmetrical layout. The background story of the map is a bit extraordinary but you can read it yourself on the map’s page.

We wish you a lot of fun with the new community maps. We will add more maps to our addon page bit by bit in the future. If you want to create a map for World of Padman yourself, you can find a lot of information on our tutorial page.
